Christmas Shopping Burns the Calories

If you’ve been hitting the stores it seems holiday shopping may burn through your savings and your calories. New research finds that shoppers burn and average of 1,572 calories per each average shopping trip. Researchers found the average shopper walks just under 20 miles as they shop.

Despite all the calories burned, a recent survey found that the average person gains four pounds between Christmas Eve and New Year’s Day. Furthermore, 34-percent of respondents said it would take four months to lose their holiday weight.
