Patti Labelle, Queen Latifah to be honored at BET Awards

ATLANTA (AP) — Patti Labelle and Queen Latifah are among those who will be honored at an upcoming BET Awards show.

Both will get special awards at the Black Girls Rock! event.

It will be taped later this month in Newark, New Jersey and air on the cable and satellite outlet next month.

Others to be honored include tennis champion Venus Williams.

Tracee Ellis Ross and Regina King will co-host.
