We are excited to announce the 5th Annual 2013 Smokin’ in the Junction BBQ Contest on Saturday and Sunday, May 25th & 26th. Join us for hot BBQ, great food, live music, food vendors, kids activities, inflatables, the beer garden and two days full of fun! This event will be held from 12:00 – 10:00 pm on Saturday, and from 12:00 – 9:00 pm on Sunday. Sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbeque Society (KCBS) our event is one of the largest BBQ competitions in Iowa and our $13,000+ awards include $1,500 for our Grand Champion and 48 competitors. Food and drink may not be purchased from our competitors, but is available from food vendors located along 5th Street. The performance stage and beer garden will be located at the south end of 5th Street. As a featured event of A-MAY-Zing Days (www.amayzingdays.com) Smokin’ in the Junction will culminate a month of community events and activities in West Des Moines.
